Decibel Festival founder/curator Sean Patrick Horton stopped by KEXP’s Morning Show today with some big news: the full lineup of this year’s Decibel Festival! In its ninth iteration, the festival will run from September 26-30 and feature what Horton calls its “most adventurous and complete lineup to date,” including performances from Orbital, The Cannabinoids featuring Erykah Badu, Kimbra, Carl Craig, Shpongle, Fennesz + Jon Wozencroft, John Talabot, Ariel Pink, and Matthew Dear. Horton said that while he was constructing the lineup, he focused on booking acts that would transcend the current hype behind electronic dance music, as well as expanding the number of female performers and number of countries represented.
